Alex Catalani

Alex Catalani is a singer, actor and dancer. At age four, Catalani was singing Mariah Carey tunes and acting out her favorite movies for any crowd she could get her hands on. This is when Alex's family enrolled her into her first musical theatre group, Clubhouse Kids, where Backstreet Boy Nick Carter also started out.



Eight years later, Catalani has continued her training with several different theatre groups and vocal coaches. She has been described as a gifted vocalist and a natural on the stage.



Alex was one of the top 32 finalists among thousands of contestants in the hit "American Idol" spin-off, "American Juniors". After appearing in just the first few episodes, Miss Catalani made a lasting impression on teens and pre-teens. Her soulful sound out of her tiny frame mixed with her entertaining, diva-like attitude won the hearts of many.



Miss Catalani was chosen by New York agents, Jordan, Gill and Dornbaum, Inc., to audition for a Broadway production after seeing her perform at the Tampa Theatre. At the age of 9, Catalani was offered the role of Young Cosette in the Broadway musical, Les Misérables. Her parents felt this decision was ultimately hers, and Alex chose to stay in her hometown with family and friends. She adds that Broadway is still a passion of hers and that she will be back there one day. We don't doubt that!



Through hard work and God's blessing, Catalani has experienced more by the age of 13 than some of us do in a lifetime. She has competed and won several vocal/acting competitions locally and out of state. Alex now attends a Performing Arts Magent School where she is in the Advanced Honors Chorus as well as All-County Chorus. She continues her vocal training and is preparing for and destined for.a very bright future!
