I'm Shelby Cobra.

I'm a most-of-the-time lover, achiever-individualist, and performer. Music is my blood, don't know where I would be without it. I'm 16 years old, naturally brunette, 5 foot 4, and easy to get along with. If I were an animal, I would want to be an exotic bird. Writing is one of my favorite things to do. I'm a very open and practical person. I play guitar - still learning. I'm not afraid of the dark anymore, kind of. My favorite weather is when it's raining, but still warm. Fate is a big element of my life; I believe that everything happens for a reason. I have a new favorite song every week. My taste in style, music, and people is very broad. My biggest pet peeve is when someone tries too hard. I hate flying, and have cried on 95% of the flights I've been on. I enjoy interesting, deep, long, or funny conversations, and meeting strange, eccentric, different or relatable people. Between the hours of 7-10 AM, I am not in a good mood. My laugh can be loud, but you can tell I'm laughing really hard when you can barely hear it. I'm Italian-Swedish-Polish-Italian. I learn something new about the world, other people, and myself every day.

Music is my life. I've always wanted to be a recording artist. I started singing around my grandma's living room to the song "My Heart Will Go On" when I was 4 years old. It quickly became my passion. When I was 8, community theatre was where it was at! Then, at age 12, I leaned more towards the pop/rock genre, and attended different performance schools working with several producers and coaches. It was really difficult to change from being the "theatre kid", and the critiques I received were often brutal enough to make me go home crying, but I knew what I wanted. From there, I seized every opportunity, performing at every showcase, open mic, and small concert I could. In 2007, two days after my 14th birthday, I performed in a showcase at the House of Blues in Hollywood. That was the day I learned that "you never know who could be in the audience". Within a week after the show, I met with Robbie Nevil and Matthew Gerard, top songwriters/producers. I started working with them, and in January of 2008, they told me of an all girl rock band that they were helping. By February, I became the lead singer of the band that you now know as KSM :) And there's no place else I'd rather be.
