DESCRIPTION:
This is a little video taken of me playing two Scottish pipe tunes on a beautiful instrument gifted to me by the lovely folks at Maton Guitars. This single take was filmed in a very old house in Kilkivan, Australia, using an iPhone and a nice little km184 Neumann. The tunes are called "The Breizh" and "The Seagull", and I learned them many years ago from Scottish guitarist Tony McManus. Over the years, as is the case with most tunes passing by ear from one player to another, I have added my own touch to them, so no doubt they are a little different to his version. They are a special set of tunes that really shaped my playing and inspired my song writing a great deal, so I thought they would be the perfect way to say thank you to Maton for their endorsement of my music.
