DESCRIPTION:
Haunting rendition of "Roslin Castle" as played by Alasdair Fraser, Renata Bratt (cello) and Deby Grosjean in an entirely impromptu performance on April 11th, 2014 in the Gothic portal at The Abbey of New Clairvaux. Captured during stopover of the San Francisco Scottish Fiddlers' 2014 "Follow the Fiddle" tour. The abbey features the "Sacred Stones," a reconstruction of an 800-year-old chapter house of the Cistercian monastery of Santa Maria de Ovila (seen here). The reconstruction uses stones from the original Spanish monastery, imported from Spain in 1931 by William Randolph Hearst.
