Nataly’s Corner presents the contemporary instrumental & eclectic jazz group, 3rd Force: This is my first introduction to this group. I saw the entry of their new album [Global Force] on Allen Kepler’s SmoothJazzNetwork list and, after listening to some samples, was very impressed with their music style. 3rd Force is the collaboration of the multi-instrumentalists trio William Aura [Group producer and chief composer]; Craig Dobbin; and Alain Eskinasi. They often include various guest musicians and a vocalist on their music compilations. Music critics quote 3rd Force’s music “often straddles the line between smooth jazz and dance-heavy, electronic-tinged acid jazz...” All I know is that I listened to some sample tracks from a few of their albums and I really like the music, especially from a couple of their previously-released CDs. The first 3rd Force [self-titled] album debuted in 1994 under the Higher Octave record label. The group decided to continue using the word “Force” in their album titles and followed up with “Force of Nature” [1995]; “Vital Force” [1997; “Force Field” [1999]; and “Gentle Force [2002]. Overall 3rd Force has a total of 8 albums which includes their newest compilation [Global Force] released Jan 2016.
