"Don't get it twisted, I come from the streets where it's vicious." Within that quotable from "Smooth Don" lies the very ethos of Divine, the Brooklyn rhymer who's faced his fair share of highs, lows and trials and tribulations within "the struggle". Coming up through the Golden Era of Hip-Hop, and learning from the likes of Kool G Rap, as well as Eric B and Rakim, has taught the Fort Greene rapper about humility, a trait that has carried through his work.

Divine has managed to share his stories to fans that he's accumulated through his journey, which includes venture capitalist Ben Horowitz, proving that talent and dedication to your craft transcends all barriers. On "Embracing Eternity (Universal Love)", the Fort Greene spitter shows his penchant for the finer things in life while still being a man of the people, while "Smooth Don" has the rapper enjoying the high life, but not without mentioning his roots. Skills aside, Divine embodies sophistication through the visuals that bounce between himself and a certain love interest, as singer Tracy Adam comes through with a chilling hook. "Embracing Eternity (Universal Love)" and "Smooth Don" can be found on Divine's Ghetto Rhymin' LP, which is now available on compact disc and via digital download, through Supreme Records.
