DESCRIPTION:
OZMA Orkestrâ is OZMA's large ensemble, 10 musiciens on stage, OZMA powered up with six crazy horns !!

This project was born on the roads of OZMA's European tours. The idea of creating a large ensemble as an amplification of the quartet immediately seemed coherent with the original spirit of the group. The project became real in 2010 with the gathering of OZMA ORKESTRA and the composition of a new repertoire for the Jazzdor Festival.

Each musician plays many instruments thus the available orchestra can produce a varied sound spectrum. Music true to the universe of OZMA is devastatingly powerful and melodic, with particular attention given to choices of textures and timbres. Stéphan Oliva, Octurn, John Hollenbeck, Steve Reich, Magma, Cinematic Orchestra, Fred Frith are never far away, like echoes of soft influences. OZMA ORKESTRA is wild, figurative and contemporary, and offers to the listener a journey of musical exploration and news feelings...
