DESCRIPTION: Hey All, I was asked by Black Swamp Percussion to check out this Dynamicx® Live! Series snare. It's EPIC. So I thought I'd mic it up (literally in the tuning it arrived in!) and record drums (again) to one of songs on my latest album. So here's "Motherfather" (From the album "The Hero and the Pain") featuring the Black Swamp Percussion Dynamicx® Live! Series Ambrosia Maple Unibody 5.5"x14" Snare Drum.
A key part of this drum sound is also the room mic'ing which was done using one of my favorite mics: the Sontronics Apollo. It's a stereo ribbon mic that sounds UNREAL. Check it out.
