TallGrass GetDown's Album: Live at Nectar's

TallGrass GetDown is a 5-piece junkyard acoustifunk band from Vermont with a very rambunctious original sound. Drawing from influences like The Wood Brothers, Dr. John, Taj Mahal, The Band, and many others, songwriter "Big John" Freeburn (guitar & vocals) makes compositions that are edgy, honest, soulful, and deep with a timeless element that somehow meshes seamlessly with their old-timey cover tunes. Just add a pinch of honky-tonk piano, some sweet harmonica and sax, tasteful percussion, and delightful 3 part vocal harmonies for that Folkalicious sound that always leaves you smiling!

Nectar's is a live music venue as well as bar & restaurant located on Main Street in Burlington, VT. This was recorded on August 16, 2012.
