Playing an eclectic collection of tunes and songs with an eastern European flavor, the Absolut Polska band is made up of the Romanow family and friend Scott Lyle. This quartet combines instrumental virtuosity, exuberant live performances, evocative songwriting and original interpretations of traditional tunes from around the globe. The band draws it's musical inspiration from a broad range of traditions, with songs and melodies from Romany and European traditions, the rhythms of Latin America and Brazil, and a select few 40's swing tunes thrown into the mix. This high-energy group is creating a musical style of their own that defies simple categorization
