DESCRIPTION:
'Mr. Nelson' was composed by Ab Schaap in 1983 and first performed by Toon Roos in 1984. Only later (in 2011) did he find out the beginning of this theme is known as 'The Lick'.

1st part: The original first recording of 'Mr. Nelson', performed by Toon Roos in 1984.
2nd part: Ab Schaap playing 'Mr. Nelson' together with the Rotterdam Conservatory Big Band in 2010.
3rd part: 'Mr. Nelson', arranged by Ab Schaap for 5 saxophones and a rhythm section, live radio recording from 1984.
