The Veil of Sin | poem by Mihaela Melnic - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jan 25, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
The veil of sin
A slightly changed and edited version can be read here:

You take advantage by the priest's robe
to hear my hidden thoughts.
I ask forgiveness while you claim
the damn right to touch
the innocent girl that until today I was.
Subdued I am to you
and nothing matters now.

You throw the veil of sin
on my tormented face
but it's your mind and soul
that you'd better try to clean.
You can't be much more different
than I am.
I kneel, pray for redemption,
I crave relief.

You are convinced I am
the instrument of Satan
that came to seduce you
and lead you to perdition.
With lack of scruples
you point me without repent
believing that my shame
will wash away your sins.

You took hold of my body
careless of what I want
and never thought instead
at what you will become:
a horrid man of evil
with frozen heart and soul
who couldn't tell the difference
between the sin and love.
