DESCRIPTION:
An expert piano tuner blasts through a non-stop, A440 tuning of a just-delivered Kawai KU-80CB (2007) piano in 45 minutes: tuning by ear, by tuning fork and using piano tuning software.

This DIY piano tuning tutorial by expert example on 10 April 2016 was part of the deal from seller Kuljaesol Piano Gallery (Bangkok, Thailand). We plan to do minor tuning ourselves but we get three more free tunings during the 3-year warranty.

No explanation. No translation. No pausing (they had three more pianos to deliver that Sunday). No time to interview the tuner. There is continual off-screen noise and talking but it's tolerable.

You get to hear piano tuning before and after for each key.

Cut-aways from the tuning action, especially at 42 minutes, were only to cover up the crew supervisor walking in front of the primary camera to show piano features and recommend maintenance to the owner.

Note the BIG size and LONG length of the specialized piano tuning tool that gave the tuner great control and leverage.

Pano Tuner (free) on our iPhone showed his tuning by ear to be within 1-3 cents (sharp) and usually 100% according to the app.

The audio is untouched but sometimes there was some strange reverb we can't explain. The room is almost entirely hard surfaces so that may have been a factor.
