#12for12 88.9 WERS Cypher [Live On-Air] - Video
PUBLISHED:  Nov 16, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
On Tuesday, October 23rd, the #12For12 collective was invited into the WERS 88.9 FM studio to perform a live, on-air cypher hosted by Malcolm Gray (@MUSICisforLIFE). The cypher created a phenomenal amount of buzz, and Decriminals was in the building, as usual, to capture the night on camera.

Featured in this video (in order of appearance) are Soupa, Caliph, Alage, Natural, Charmingly Ghetto, Moe Pope, Black EL, Reem, Bigg Dee, Avenue, Dillon Cooper and D-Note.

The beat featured in this cypher is an original beat created by Teddy Roxpin, one of Boston's most talented, well-known producers, specifically for the event.

WHAT IS #12FOR12?

#12For12 is a positive hip-hop movement based in Boston aimed at encouraging unity and solidarity within the city and providing a new platform for artists to showcase their talents.

There is an incredibly powerful wave of young artists rapidly rising in Boston, and the group is redefining whatever image of the city's scene people have instilled in their minds.

Two Boston-based hip-hop blogs - The Fresh Heir (@TheFreshHeir) and The Collab Projekt (@CollabProjekt)... as well as production company @Decriminals - wanted to bring this (r)evolution to life, so the #12For12 movement began. #12For12 is centered on 12 artists in Boston, but the vision goes far beyond any limited number.
