The Wando High School Marching Band is a 2-time Finalist in the Bands of America Grand Nationals Championships held in Indianapolis, Indiana. In 2009 and 2011, the Wando Marching Band was selected as a Finalist, finishing 11th and 12th respectively in the country out of 93 bands who participated in the competition. The Wando Band has received numerous honors and awards including: The Sutler Award presented by the John Philip Sousa Foundation, The Midwest Clinic in Chicago, 7-time State 5A Marching Band Champions 2005-2011, 7-time Lower State 5A Marching Band Champions 2005-2011, Bands of America Regional 4A Champions, Bands of America Super Regional Finalists.
Aspiring to excellence in both marching and concert programs, the Wando Band receives unwavering support from the community, the school administration, and the band parents who invest in the lives of these young people. This Wando Band video is dedicated to all who make this program possible.
