DESCRIPTION:
This is a rare glimpse - in between band leader/flautist Raja Ram pontificating on matters philosophical - of Quintessence in Island Records' Basing Street recording studio. The chant being recorded ended up on their second LP 'Quintessence'. The footage is edited together from a couple of sequences in the little-seen BBC documentary from the period 'New Horizons: The Alternative Society'.
