The newborn 40 Degrees is now reaching its 7th release, and the string of top DJ support is nothing less than stunning: in less than a year, these hot releases were supported by the likes of Armin van Buuren (played on ASOT), Tiësto (played on Club Life), Judge Jules (played 6 times on BBC Radio 1), Sander van Doorn, Marco V, Eddie Halliwell, Marcus Schössow, Sean Tyas, John OCallaghan, Lange, Mark Sherry, and so many more that would never fit in this space!

On this release, 40 Degrees very own A&R and head artist is back with a smash: Fabio Stein presents his brand new Speedster!

Fast-paced, and more electrifying than a thousand lightnings, the Original Uprise Mix delivers all the euphoria and energy of Fabios uplifting and melodic alias.
From the very beginning, you can hear his signature rolling tech drums, carefully adapted to enrich the groove, but still giving room to the harmonious and colourful entourage of basses, synths, arps and plucks... so many elements co-existing in a multi-dynamic everchanging space.
The groove drives you away through a dark intro, filled with effects and speeding race cars, which soon shows its happy and joyful big room vibe.
A short silence is teased by a tiny digital sound that progressively evolves into a massive orchestra of lush pads and big strings... only to be suddenly stopped by an unexpected dirty lead synth. Everything builds up in the old-fashioned Fabio Stein way, and then the beat comes back, driven away by the big lead.

On the remix duties, we meet a trio of hot new artists from all the corners of Brazil!

First we meet Flavio Grifo, from Maranhao, who is no newbie to the production game and have already unleashed quite a few releases in the scene a few years ago. Now hes back, stronger, better and crazier than ever!
Having just released the massive Say Me (supported by Tiësto, Paul van Dyk, Markus Schulz, etc.) now he delivers an insanely unpredictable remix on 40 Degrees!
Crisp, swinging and techy drums set a stripped down vibe, which gets infested by a dirty filthy synth and an LFO-driven and unstable stab. Be careful with this last one, trying to follow it might lock you in a trance!
Is this progressive? Is this tech trance? We dont know, and thats how we like it here!
The mind-altering chaos created by all these elements, fully stops only to slam in the full strings, in all their glory, for a special moment. Which doesnt last too long though, as the crazy LFO stab comes back and brings all its twisted friends back for a final showdown!

The next remixer on duty, is vanTronik, from Curitiba. Since his first independent releases, hes been quite busy in the studio doing tracks and remixes, including the first release of the first trance label from Brazil, Factor 4: The New Year. He is creating a unique style around this new dark and stripped down tech trance sound, influenced by the likes of Marcus Schössow and Wardt.
This remix is no different: a driving bubbling groove, with minimalistic drums and percussions, filled with grainy bits and glitches. When the sub kicks in, you are completely absorbed by the groove and a rhythmical morphing synth.
The breakdown is all about the massive string arrangement of the original and a twisted and dirty version of the original lead.
The bassy groove comes back, along with his rhythmical synth and warm pad with a captivating arrangement.

Last, but not least: the Geezk & GRG remix is all about the groove! These two guys, from Sao Paulo and Recife, have first teamed up not long ago, and the result was a massive tech trance tune called Madcake.
This tech trance monster remix, filled with rattling hats and butt-shaking percussions, is as driving as it is addictive. The breakdown is quite faithful to the original, but the duo twists the mix completely on the build-up: a gliding fun synth plays off with a party-rocking breakbeat.
When you least expect it, the beat rolls back in and takes it all back home, with the gliding synth on top.
