DESCRIPTION:
No composer has imagined and expressed the shades of human spirit and the song of life in the way James Horner has. He is a legend of film music.

These are just some of the tracks from my favorite albums or ones he’s most known for, with a theme of endings, journeys or love, and mostly slower songs. The volume varies across so many eclectic tracks. The James Horner canon has many moments of action, terror, suspense, redemption, rage, love, joy and awe as well as sadness. Since I was a kid, his irreplaceable scores have meant more to me than I can say.

Some of these movies I have never seen but love the soundtrack—that says a lot about the magic of Horner’s gift. Many others are unforgettable thanks largely to his contribution. I feel lucky to live in the time he was scoring films. He will be greatly missed and remembered. James was driven to create and explore, and the world needs more of his kind.
