“Atoms” a unique reimagination of M83's "Midnight City", from newcomer hip hop artist turboTdouble, was on rotation at LA’s favorite radio station, KCRW, before his music video was finished this year. Filmed in Prague, and directed by Yemi AD, the director and choreographer of Kanye West’s YEEZUS and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy tours and Poliça’s “Wandering Star” music video, “Atoms” is an intense and beautifully choreographed artistic simulacrum of people being born from the Earth, featuring dancers emerging gracefully from sand. Yemi AD has worked with top level artists and was excited to be involved with this project, saying, “Turbo is a very talented guy and I would like to support him because he has so much potential to give.”

Born in Louisiana and raised in California, turboTdouble aka Turbo, has been attracting serious attention for creating a niche genre of hip hop by intelligently rapping from the perspectives of video game characters. This unique perspective has gained the attention and support from the fighting game community (fgc) and legendary video game company Capcom, (Resident Evil, Megaman, Street Fighter) who recognized him in their official Street Fighter 25th Year Anniversary documentary. He has shared the stage with and opened for both Jay Electronica and Big Sean. He was also selected by Andre Benjamin to be in a Jimi Hendrix biopic, after the Outkast rapper heard Turbo rap for him live.

Turbo is currently polishing up tracks for his first official EP release.
