DESCRIPTION:
One of the masterpieces by Shostakovich is his Waltz no.2. Contrasts to usual waltz we know, it has somewhat gloomy and sorrowful melody in the first part, which is later followed by more energetic and joyful chords in E-flat major. It has been widely used for commercials as well.
