February 17, 2009 - Latium Universal artist Rob G, "The Next Latin Legend" will be releasing an album titled "Both Sides of the Fence" - Black and Brown Sounds Vol.1 with Houston's "King of the Streets", Trae Tha Truth. This album was created with the intention of bringing the people together, breaking the social divide between cultures and ideas - thru music.
"Both Sides of the Fence" is a collaboration of hard hitting street bangers to stories of the politics that work for us and against us. The timing of a hopeful new era with the broken barriers of our new President coincides with the ideas of two cultures coming together to show that the only people we are actually fighting is ourselves. With the rap game becoming more and more saturated and wanna be MC's crowding every metropolitan street corner, waiting for their chance to blow, it's becoming increasingly hard to find that diamond in the rough. From out of the South West Alief Texas shadows emerges that diamond, and he goes by the name of 2-4-5 (pronounced 2 for 5) aka King Feezy.
The Houston Bred MC has taken the roots of the Hip Hop Culture, yanked them out of the ground and began re-planting his own seeds in hopes of bringing you something completely fresh and new. Proving that Hip Hop has no color barrier, 245 spits for EVERYBODY, breaks the stereotypes down one by one and has built and impressive catalog of style, wits and bangin' ass tracks whether on the solo tip or through his affiliation with the soon to be super group "THE SWAT PRODUCT".
Already a veteran of live stage shows, his recent signing to G-Style Entertainment has ensured his spot in the game. "When I step off stage and my voice is gone and I'm sweatin, I know I did my job. The best experience is to come see us do what we do, live and in person, but I feel blessed that I'm able to reach the people through the music before they get a chance to meet us." The always energetic MC has been grindin in the lab, working out the plans for tracks on the soon to be released S.W.A.T. ALBUM as well as his solo street album titled SWAT 2 DEF VOL.2 "WHEN THE SMOKE CLEARS".
"My next project will consist of all original tracks from the hottest up and coming producers in Texas as well as Veterans of the Music Industry. Now that I got ya attention with the first mixtape, I'ma hit you over the head with some heartfelt deep shit, but you know I'ma always keep it gutta.
"Is it the fame or fortune? Is it the name that's torchin? Is it the dame that's by ya side she's so hot that she's scorchin? Is it the game that forcin you to play part of an actor? Is it the clothes and all the jewels that ya after? And who's the benefactor? And who's in it to last a, Lil bit longer than 90 percent of these fuckin bastards!"
As the world of Hip Hop is in the midst of a commercialized dilemma, 2-4-5 has made a commitment with his music to bring the art back to it's true form. The "get rich quick" aspect of the game has been put on blast by the media and Hip Hop has been introduced to almost every aspect of the business market. "You can view it from both sides of the sword, as the Hip Hop culture spreads like wildfire across the world, but then you see artists making songs exclusively for cell phone ringtones and what not, it's easy for me to shake my head in disappointment. The reason I feel so strongly about this is because I take the music personally. I love the embodiment of the Hip Hop and it's time to bring some good music back."
