In I Walked with Giants: The Autobiography of Jimmy Heath, he talks about knowing jazz giants such as Charlie Parker and playing with innovators such as John Coltrane, Miles Davis, and Dizzy Gillespie. His memoir recounts his childhood in South Philadelphia and memories of playing with his equally legendary brothers Percy and Albert (aka Tootie).
