Landmarks - "Worse for Wear" Ship Records - A BlankTV Feature!

Artist city, country: Manchester, England, UK

Artist Biography: Founded in November 2011 in Manchester, Landmarks have shared the stage with bands such as Neck Deep, Me V Hero, Such Gold, Carridale, Decade, Hot Damn and Light You Up to mention a few.

"Most new born pop punk bands enter a vulnerable trap creating monotonous songs with simple chords and tiresome drum beats. Landmarks have cleverly avoided this trap and stepped out with a fresh, energetic sound. With their power beats, heavier breakdowns and mix of clear and shouted vocals, Landmarks have already achieved a lot in a short space of time." Hannah Gillicker -www.alreadyheard.com

"Their English take on America’s harsher, The Story So Far, style pop-punk was good to see, hopefully we can have more of our own scene rather than borrowing off our US counterparts and exporting giants like You Me At Six. The vocal interplay between the guitarist/vocalist, Brad Shea, and Bassist/vocalist Adam make the chorus’ sound huge in the tiny venue. I can imagine a sea of crowd surfing fans in chino shorts dying to sing the words into the microphone if the band keep going with their already loyal local support."

The Debut Ep 'Running on Empty' was self released in October, 2013, and pushed Landmarks onto tour Europe and the UK with Boston Manor & Melrose extensively. With some time off, a new Ep 'Fighting Gravity' was written and with a new line up consisting of Brad Shea on Lead vocals the record was released via Ship Records on May 15th with lead single "40mg" released just beforehand on April 24th. 2015 has already been heavy with touring in Europe and looks set to be the year Landmarks go forward and push onward and upward with a second single/video 'Worse for Wear' penned in for early July and a UK tour to follow starting Aug 15.

Song Lyrics: This time I know that things won't last
I should have learned you'd think by now
What if I, just let you go
Then bring myself to just confess?
I'm stuck here waiting
Stuck here waiting

I give in, I give up
I know better than to hope for something more
Or so I though
I held on, all along
I should have gave up when I saw my chance to run
I'm worse for wear

You were all about yourself
That was your way no questions asked
What if I, had seen the signs?
I could have got this off my chest
But I'm still waiting

I give in, I give up
I know better than to hope for something more
Or so I though
I held on, all along
I should have gave up when I saw my chance to run
I'm worse for wear
I'm not getting better
I'm not getting better
You don't seem to care
I'm worse for wear
