Romania Eurovision Songs

Romania has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest seven times, debuting in the 1994 contest. After the 1994 contest Romania had a four year Eurovision hiatus, and has since participated in most years (with the exceptions of 1999 and 2001 due to poor 1998 and 2000 placings respectively).



Romania's worst placement was in Oslo, Norway on May 18th, 1996, when Monica Anghel placed 29th in the semi-finals with her song "Ruga Pentru Pacea Lumii".



Romania's best placement was in Kiev, Ukraine on May 19th, 2005, when Luminita Anghel & Sistem placed 3rd with the song "Let Me Try".



Todomondo will represent Romania in Helsinki on May 12, 2007. Thanks to Mihai Traistariu's 4th Placing in Athens, Todomondo has qualified to compete in the final.
