I have been singing since I was very young or at least since I had the ability to sing. Coming from a family of musicians on both sides….its hard to miss. My music journey started at 8, playing drums with Bermudian drummer Eddie Ming. I always had a niche for writing melodies, so I'd write little jingles if u will. But It wasn’t until my last year of secondary school that I wrote my first song. I was seriously into dancehall music at that time, so it was a dj style. I was introduced to Shannon 'Heavy' Tuzo by one of my long-time friends; he had a mini sound back in Bermuda and was interested in what I had to offer. It was in his studio that I developed my unique style which I like to call reggae fusion. I also had an ear for baselines, so I decided to take up the Bass and as a result, fell into the hands of the guitar. I wrote more melodies and my first full song with guitar and vocals was 'Girl you’re on my mind'. Since then I’ve entertained in various shows around Bermuda, mostly with Caisey Family Productions and Chewstick. I’ve attended a guitar workshop in Boston at the Berklee College of Music and I’m now studying a diploma course in guitar at the Academy of Contemporary Music, London. Recently I joined forces with three brethren: Greg, Dave and Adam to form a new band: ZION and THE WHITE BOYZ (www.myspace.com/zionandthewhiteboys). My ultimate goal is to become an international recording artist and song writer/melody constructor for other artists.
Shout out to Heavy and the Ghetto Quality Crew. Marcelle Clamens for the vocal training. Big up the Chewstick Family and Beatnic in London for putting me onto some live gigs. Bless up Wires, father Ric in Africa and Tauri-don-diddly (lol). To Mama, Mama June, Sonne, Al and family. Daddy and my Wilson Family. Big Up the Peat Lane and Deep Dale massive. The whole of Bermuda. Blessed Love
