ZinGeR---recording new tune

ZINGER, American slang for sudden shock / revelation / turn of events, is also the name for Belgium's freshest space pop act. Their songs are inhabited by gloomy superheroes, automatic fortune-teller machines and solitary monsters. The Zinger sound blends high-strung drum rhythms, misty synths and melancholic brass. Some of the band's influences are Friendly Fires, Delphic and Arcade Fire.
A first release 'Classifieds' was produced by Maarten Devoldere (Balthazar) + Stijn Verdonckt (La Chapelle Studios) and was mastered by Frank Arkwright (Arcade Fire, Bloc Party, Coldplay) at Abbey Road Studios.
The band won the Belgian pop & rock contest 'De Beloften 2011' and, hence, find themselves on the tracks laid by The Bony King of Nowhere and Intergalactic Lovers. Acclaimed gigs in AB (Bxl), Trix (Antwerp), Vooruit (Ghent) seem to hint this is just the beginning.
