Hey Ya'll, Welcome to my MySpace crib! I'm less of a talker, and more of a doer. So read the bio if you want. And then get to playin' the music!
Sixth-generation Texan born in Lubbock, raised in Round Rock outside Austin (Yes, there really is a big @ss round rock in Brushy Creek the town's named after). Long history of fiddle players in my family from my dad on up. But I was the outcast who picked up the guitar and couldn't help but get wrapped up in the music that surrounded me, from Willie and Waylon to The Eagles and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Been real fortunate to be able to release two Indie albums "the outlaw way" from here in Texas. Never had a label. Just didn't feel like waiting to be "discovered" so I cut 'em myself with a little help from my friends. First was THIS TOWN (2003) with three Texas Music chart hits — "I Hate to See Her Go," "Beer Drinkin' Women" (Is there any other kind?), and "This Town." The second was ZANE LEWIS (2008), which got me rockin' the national scene in "Country Weekly" magazine a couple of times with "Come With Me" and "Welcome To The Southland," and landed one of my co-writes — "Bad Ass Country Band" — on the Fox TV reality show, Nashville.
