Zahra Hashemian is a vocalist, songwriter, and belly dancer in New York City. Zahra performed as a belly dancer for the 2008 Whitney Biennial, as well as Webster Hall, Element and various venues around NYC. She worked for the Metropolitan Opera on their production of Thais.



The song SexFiend has been heard at NYC clubs such as Element (aka the ole' Bank), Albion, and Avalon (the former Limelight) as well on NY Underground Radio.

Zahra often performs at Patrick Soluri's Salon. The sessions are featured on The Salon podcast on !Tunes.



Venus Uprising Tarot Fantasy Dance Performance at the Merce Cunningham Studio Theatre. Zahra performs with Fayzah and the Aurea Dancers.
