Young Sin has always had a strong passion for music - born to a DJ mother and a father in a funk band, the Toronto native was initially inspired by groups like Earth, Wind and Fire, Sam & Dave and Parliament. As he got older, Sin's wandering attention span was held by NWA, the Rascalz and anything Dr. Dre touched; it wasn't until the late nineties that his family moved to Vancouver and he started to turn his passion into reality. Sin and his brother Lexani formed "Domino Click," achieving local notoriety for winning 2003's Starmaker Contest on the Beat 94.5, where their singles "That's That" and "Get Down" spent considerable air time. Despite this growing momentum, Young Sin spent a few years focused on the administrative side of the rap game, sharpening his skill set and garnering industry wisdom. He returned slicker then ever, ready to hold down the business end of the mic while spitting into the other. A solid fan base and numerous industry accolades- including a placement in 2005's International Songwriting competition for "Boombip" - have driven Sin to the top of his game. Young Sin has worked with Maestro Fresh Wes, Defenders of the Faith, A. Pinks and Moka Only in his rise to West Coast domination. He's toured with RA The Rugged Man, Australia's Bliss and Esso and Evil Ebenezer, and has opened for Camp Lo, the Rascalz and Swollen Members to name a few. His 2008 EP My Mind in Rhyme was described as "great beats and good rapping" by Abort Magazine, and his first full-length release on Camobear Records is sure to surpass all former attempts. Who I Am sets a backdrop of melodic instrumentation, layering words as diverse as the man they define onto smooth cuts and astute rhythms. From the raw styles of "Old School" to tracks that'll make the baddest girls blush, Sin sets it all out there. This is, indeed, who he is.
