Growing up with distress often tend to make an individual stronger. Some are weakened and broken down, while others grow character and build strength. Maurice McDaniel, despite being a young man has endured some hardships that some adults would find tough to handle. Despite being the typical rebellious child that occasionally gets in trouble and hangs out in the streets, Maurice always kept his heart into the passion he loved most, hip-hop music. Born Maurice McDaniel, “Young Reese” as he became affectionately known as grew up in various neighborhoods throughout the Philadelphia area. By the age of three his parents had separated, from then on he new his life would never be the same. Now, almost sixteen years later…it seems like some things just never change.

It began in 2004 at the age of fifteen “Young Reese” began to pursue his music career backed by TeamWood Entertainment and a group of young, talented up and coming producers known as “The Runners”. That summer The Runners and TeamWood Entertainment released “The Best of Young Reese” Vol. 1 (which is still available for download). It seemed like life was getting better…but then reality sunk in and once again “Young Reese” was forced to face more adversity. A couple years later and a small hiatus from recording music, Reese is back…he’s determined, he’s focused, he’s hungry and most importantly; he wants the people to know he ain’t “YOUNG” no more!!! That’s right, “Reese Bang-Em” is the name and “Crack Musik” is the game.

“Reese Bang-Em” has been recording songs for the past year and a half working on his next mix-tape. What takes so long…well he’s quick to tell you- “Can’t rush perfection, gotta give them the right product…keep making them come back, that’s why it’s referred to as Crack Musik”. He’s also quick to tell you that the mix-tape is finished…”man I gotta about 3 mix-tapes worth of material plus a album in the vault”. “Be on the lookout really, really soon. It’s definitely coming”. The next mix-tape to be released will be titled: “Reese Bang-Em” – Learn To Love It. (Due out Winter ’08)
