Unlike most MC's these days, Young Kilo, born Ronald Holman, began his musical journey in his early teens.Forming a group called Mobb Mafia with friends & family,Yella Boi,Dada,M.R,and His-self, rapping in showcases around his Nashville,Tennessee hometown. Eventually, the group caught the attention of a manager that goes by "G" at a studio session, that formed G Thang.By 2003,the group performed at all different types of clubs and different countries, opening up for major artist such as,Lil Boosie,Sqad-Up,Gucci Mane, and Gangsta Boo.

The group then ran into Robski, who letted the group host pently of showcases in the Nashville area.Kilo then met a friend that goes by Mandel aka Young Mann during High School, who was muti-talent,that produced beats and rapped.Unfortunately, the group came to an end several years later and it caused two of the members to go their separate ways from the group, Kilo began to focused on a solo career."I was disappointed that I had to make that decision and change but all that made me do was work harder," says Kilo.

It's always gone be love, my fam know we can always collab, and maybe form the group again.Kilo then began to continuing with his pen lyrics,Kilo kept making his rounds. In 2006, Kilo begun to take the music scean to anotha level making a myspace page and promoting his-self, which gave him opportunities to see if the world and streets was feeling his style, his swagger, his musik.

After knowing what other people felt about his musik, he then started to make moves, and stay focus on his music. Kilo, then ran into another artist by the name of Play'Boy who was blazing the streets of Nashville. After collabing with Play'Boy "I felt like I had up-level that started me to built a buzz, says Kilo" big ups to M3.

Kilo then ran into a former DJ on myspace that goes by Young L.W. that was focus on getting heard around in the city, L.W. convo with Kilo back and fourth telling him how much he felt his music and explained which direction he was going. L.W. then linked up with DJ Smallz which formed Tha South Unsigned Movement which, Kilo added one of his songs to that mixtape.Soon after, once the joint venture out into the streets, and other cities Kilo began to feel the habit of helping others and they'll help him.

After months of working on new songs with other Nashville artist, Kilo began to summit tracks to DJ's which caught plenty of ears, entering a contest that DJ Delz was hosting outta New York City, Kilo was bless by being one of the artist to be feature on the mixtape that had over 2500 listeners,DJ Delz's "The Lucky Pick". It was a part of me growing up in a single parent home and supporting my momma," says Kilo.

"She told me I was the man of the house but it's not something that I stock about I had a younger brother and a older sister." So, therefore Kilo had known he was doing something right, as he followed his heart and chased a career in music.

Kilo has learned lessons in visual media and the importance of being a professional. While others may have allowed the struggle of the streets to deter them, Kilo began writing songs about the streets to create opportunities for himself. His friends encouraged him to continue developing his musical talent referring to him as "Kilo" or "YK".Music inspires me more, he says. I feel that Im better at music, and also known to make it to the rim when playing a sport known as basketball.

His "Inspiration comes mainly from experiences and emotions" explains Kilo. “I’m not thug, I’m just a regular guy, but I’ve done some grimy things in my life I will always remember.” From that experience and the things Kilo been through he, took his skills to another level and started to look at being a Hip Hop artist more seriously.

"Po Anotha Drink," the lead single is a Wee Wee production that comically details a Southern nightlife at a club."I'm Fresh," which gives you a vision of the cleaness and swagger.Another track, "Trapper of the Year," which is known for anyone that has a hustle, anything that involes money, says Kilo. Also, a blazing New Song thats yet to be release "I'm Hot" which only features Kilo, he brings you into his world letting you know why he's hot, and so fore.
