Born on June 22nd 1991, Young Avz was raised in the city of Montreal. At the age of 13, he started rapping for fun using his Logitech webcam microphone and Adobe Audition after being inspired by Jin’s freestyle battles on BET.



His style is unique and versatile as it can be seen from the various styles of songs which he creates. The main genre of music he focuses on creating is Pop and R&B but it does not remain the only genres which he is capable of making. The music which he envisions doing is music which sounds good but is filled with quality content as well as to allow all ages to enjoy his work.



Being an artist from Montreal, he has accomplished a lot given the little amount of opportunities available in his city. In the year of 2007, at the age of 16, he has already worked with producer Gennessee from Bay area who has produced for many artists in the game such as , Mac Dre , E-40 , Too Short , Hell Rell , Yuk Mouth , and Mistah Fab just to name a few. He has also made a track with Mistah Fab, the artist who has made hit singles such as “Ghost Ride It (2007)” & “Twitter (2009)”



He started focusing on making mixtape tracks using songs that were requested by his fans and advertising his music to a greater mass in order to start building up his fan base.



In 2008, he worked with Soulja Boy’s friends from the group “Cash Camp”, Play Boy & Yellaboy Trent, and Static Major’s (who sang “Lollipop” with Lil’ Wayne) partner “Smoke”.



With over half a million plays on MySpace, and over 100,000 views on one of his home made music videos on YouTube, Young Avz has left his mark as one of the most known artists from Montreal.



More recently, he shot a music video for his hit single “Gangsta Girl” (off the album which is currently in progress) and the video will be released shortly, as well as a video for a jerk genre song called “I Could Do It Better” with R&B artist Silky from 2ReaL out of Montreal that was released in September 2009.
