YorkshireTerrierz are a hip hop group based in chapeltown, Leeds. The group consists of four main members, two mcs, one vocalist and one producer, dogge, lowkey, Rae Rae and Menza.

Dogge, LowKey and Menza have been friends since primary school and from the late eightys have been into HipHop music. Inspiration came from the usual Hip Hop legends, Public Enemy, E.P.M.D, N.W.A, Wu Tang and Nas to name a few.



They have always been involved in local Hip Hop , from djing and freestylig on pirate radio and performing in groups such as Ruffneck Jnrs, Classified and Stay Focus.

In 2002 YorkshireTerrierz were formed and in 2005 their 22 track debut album " Blended in West Yorkshire", Was independently released. The cd was and still is available to buy in local branches of major and independent record shops eg,H.M.V and Crash Records. It can also be downloaded @

iTunes or purchased via paypal.

Rae Rae featured on several tracks on this album and soon became an official member of the group.



Over the following year, yts worked on their new album performed at gigs and charity events and gained airplay on bbc radio 1xtra, Pulse Rated and bbc Raw talent. They Made their first tv appearance on itvs Calender news and took many oppurtunities to promote their music through interviews in magazines and on radio.

They released there first single and debut video "whats ya life like" from their second album in 2006. This reached No 14 on the channelU chart and also featured on the ChannelU compilation album.

They have been involved with the Love Music Hate Racism charity including a cameo appearance in Roll Deeps video Racist People.

They released there second album " Nowt Tekken Out" in december 2007 and have had several tracks played on an episode of itvs The Bill.

The new video stripes is complete and will also feature on Channel U.

Also following their work with mothers against guns they have recently been involved in an anti violence campaign centering around a track and video called "These Streets" Featuring some of leeds finest artists.
