YASSMINE ALEXANDRA

Yassmine Alexandra Johansen was born March 18, 1985 in Oslo.

She grew up in Oslo, but she also lived and went to school in Marbella and Rojales, Spain. Her mother is half maroccan, half spanish, and her father is norwegian.

It was in Marbella that Yassmine's parents met in 1983.

Music was something that was very important to the whole family.

Yassmine grew up listening to her fathers favourite artist, Elvis Presley.



Music played a huge part in Yassmine's childhood.

When she was seven, she started playing with the local school bands and also went to a private music school during the evening, so she spent countless hours with music. Maybe too much, cause eventually she grew tired of the Trumpet, the sheet music and the Trombone.



She then decided to start with handball. This girls problem however is that she cant do just one thing, so she started with sprint, dancing and kickboxing all at once! But after a few years of hard and intensive training she sustained a few injuries including a broken nose, twice! She then decided to take a break from training and sports.



That's when she realised she could never give up the music. It had always been there in the back of her mind but now she was determined to turn all her focus back on the music. And that she did. She spent several hours each day practicing. There's no doubt that Yassmine is totally hooked on music.



Besides this, Yassmine has also appeared on childrens television, theaters, various tv shows and now recently the feature film Tommy's Inferno which has become a huge success.



For some strange reason Yassmine decided not study Music in high-school. Instead she chose Economy. Now, however, she will be studying Music and Media Management in London. After that she is planning to study film but hasnt decided where yet.



There is, however, no doubt whatsoever that this girl is totally crazy at times with a controversial personality to match. That is essential if you want to create time you dont have, or get motivation when it doesnt exist. Listen carefully to the music and lyrics.
