Avec plusieurs cordes à son arc, voix, guitare & basse, il tourne depuis 15 ans, en acoustique solo ou en formation groupe plus rock.
Au gré des rencontres, il est tour à tour auteur, compositeur ou interprète.
L'héritage
A la croisée des chemins entre la chanson française de Ferré, Brel, Gainsbourg et les influences rock de U2, Coldplay, Ryan Adams, Radiohead.
Les rencontres
En 1996, il monte le groupe des Spigaows, qui joue beaucoup en reprises & compos sur Marseille.
En 2001 Yann signe en édition chez BMG Publishing puis dans la foulée en 2002, chez EMI en artiste solo, c'est une année de rencontres & de collaborations : en 2002, il écrit & compose pour Roch Voisine et pour Nourith.
En 2003, il fait les rencontres d'Astafort de Francis Cabrel qui lui redonnent envie de composer et de jouer à plusieurs mains.
Il rejoint le groupe Susan en 2005, et gagne le Europe 2 Campus tour ainsi que le RTL2 tour, ils signent chez AcceleraSon (Pauline Croze) en 2007: mais le groupe se sépare.
Maintenant
S’il continue d’écrire pour d’autres (1 titre sur le prochain album de Mickael Jones), depuis 2007, Yann s'est recentré sur des titres aux couleurs plus personnelles et sur un style plus rock.
A multi talented musician (lead singer, guitar & bass guitar), Yann has been playing for 15 years acoustic solo gigs as well as rock trio concerts. As encounters allow, he is writer, composer or simply performer.
The heritage:
Yann stands at the crossroads between French singers as Ferré, Brel or Gainsbourg, and the influence of pop rock artists as Coldplay, Ryan Adams or Radiohead.
The encounters:
In 1996 his band Spigaows plays a lot in the Marseille area. In 2001, Yann signs a publishing deal with BMG and afterwards a record deal with EMI in 2002. He writes songs for Canadian singer Roch Voisine and Israeli singer Nourith, among many others.
In 2003, Yann joins Francis Cabrel’s sessions and learn how to write songs in collaboration with others, and loved it.
Yann joins the band Susan in 2005 and release an album in 2007, but the band splits just afterwards.
Now:
Yann keeps on writing for others, but has decided to set up MATISSE as his personal project, with the rock touch he appreciates.
