Biography
Mortal Enemy originated as a two-person studio project combining the musical talents of Todd Stover (former front man of Boise acts "Nitrus" and "Shattered Reality"), and Sean Dealy (formerly a Seattle based guitarist and studio musician). In the beginning it was to be nothing more than two friends collaborating in the studio to create great music.
Five years, thirty-five songs, and two albums later, Mortal Enemy has evolved to include Matt Hopkins on rhythm guitar (formerly of Boise band "Stardestroyer,") Jason Harris on Bass (formerly of Hardbound and The Static Drift) and the percussive talents of Lance Patterson, thus completing the five piece line up.
As of spring 2009, Mortal Enemy has finished recording their second CD, which is a follow up to the previous release, "Suppressed Aggression," (2005). Look for live performances to continue in 2009, kicking off with the CD release party debuting the latest album, "Balance of Power" in June 2009.
Genre
Mortal Enemy is a hard-core metal act influenced by the old timers such as Megadeth, Testament and Pantera, while also including some of the modern heavy groove of Godsmack, Disturbed and the like.
With hooks galore and choruses that will permeate your brain, Mortal Enemy guarantees to grab hold of you and not let go!
You can obtain your own copy of Mortal Enemy’s debut album "Suppressed Aggression" or the new release titled "Balance of Power" at the local Boise Record Exchange, or at the Fairview & Cole Hastings, the Overland & Five Mile Hastings or the new Meridian Hastings.
