XVI DAYS

Emerging out of Lost Angleles's synth scene XVI days is comprised of Adam (Cougar), J. Daniel (Cougar, Texas Mafia, The Laughing Dead, Gitane Demone, Akubi Object) and Victor V. (Xipper, Golden Bats, Moving Units, Gitane Demone). The group originally started as a duo the remnants of a synth-pop group Cougar. However they felt something was lacking so they decided to bring in Xavier for additional instrumentation. The group was quick to establish its new more mature and stylized sound “Designed to please no one but themselves.” they describe. The band went on to play a string of successful shows one of which being the premiere night of the now acclaimed club MRX.



March 2009 brought an inevitable lineup change with the departure of Xavier. This gave XVI Days an opportunity to work with the enigmatic and soft spoken Victor known for his melodic bass playing as well as his dissonant and minimal guitar sound. Reinvigorated with the infusion of new blood the band is looking towards new sonic possibilities.
