Chicago southside native Xtreme defines his style as unpredictable. Creating beats from opposite ends of the spectrum ranging from R&B to Hip Hop, his skills speak for it-self. Working with artists such as Jay-Z, Ghostface, Ne-Yo, DMX, Jadakiss, Kanye West, DJ Clue, Jaheim and Bump J., he brings a fresh persona to the game producing live music as well as banging Hip Hop sampled tracks. In his humble beginnings as a DJ, he learned the breakdown of the musical process as it relates to sound and rhythm. He acquired his first drum machine at 15 and entered the studio by 16, where he began to unfold his creative skills as a producer. Collaborating with a high school friend, they formed the group Figure of Speech. The group consisted of King James, LTD and himself. After recording a demo, Figure of Speech got signed to the independent label Onyx Records in 1992 recording a full album produced by Xtreme. Debuting in 1993, Figure of Speech got a taste of the industry from touring to video shoots to performances, but was dropped in 1994. Committed to his craft, Xtreme continued to sharpen his skills working with local Chicago artists. The opportunity that launched Xtreme’s career came while giving directions to a random driver who was chauffeuring Jay-Z and DJ Clue. After inquiring about the music playing in the background, Jay-Z stuck his head from the van asking could he have the beat that eventually debuted on DJ Clues nationwide platinum release entitled "The Professional Part II". Xtreme went on to produce "Who’s Next" featuring DMX and has continued to grind producing tracks such as "Diamond In The Ruff" on Jaheim’s double-platinum album "Still Ghetto" and several album cuts on Atlantic recording artist Bump J. He recently produced the hit single "Back Like That" featuring NE-YO for Def Jam recording artist Ghostface's gold album,"Fishscale". This record created a major buzz all over the country and is Ghostface’s biggest radio song to date. Signed with EMI Publishing, Xtreme is focused on being the breath of fresh air for Hip Hop and R&B.
