Founded back in 1993, the Norwegian Rock/Metal hybrid WATTAMEZZ, featuring Tommy Sebastian (Manes, ex Griffin, ex Atrox) on vocals, never got their asses off the barstools or away from the pooltables until the "Suicide Jesus" single was unleashed in 2004. It was recorded at
D'SIGN Studio (John Doe, Miksha, Gte, Hoppalong Knut etc.) and got them much attention in the underground. Not long after the single-release the 'MEZZ boozehounds entered a demo-competition run by the TV-show METALBLENDER on NRK, the Norwegian state broadcaster. The 'MEZZ won, of
course, beating 300 bands, and apart from the glory, the free drinks and the flocking ladies WATTAMEZZ won an album-deal with VME (Wig Wam, Silver, Backstreet Girls, We, 3rd and the Mortal ) under the sub-label Head Not Found (Windir, Ulver etc. ). The result is the WATTAMEZZ debut album "SOULFUEL"! The album was recorded in SKANSEN STUDIO (Desperado, Funny Farm, Wurdulak, 3rd and the Mortal etc.) and mixed in TOP ROOM Studio with Brge Finstad (Mayhem, Arcturus, Borknagar, Big Bang, Turbonegro etc.). The cover is done by up-and-coming Norwegian designers TRINE AND KIM, who has done album artwork for( Ulver, Arcturus, When, Ved buens ende. etc.).
"SOULFUEL" features lyrical contribution by Torstein P. (Chton, Manes),
guest growls by Krell (Bloodthorn) and eminent bass playing by Johnny Wangberg (Griffin).
