Ralph

Ralph was born and raised in Louisville Kentucky,raised in a musical family. My mother and aunt played the piano. Dad and Grandad sang. We listened to a plethora of music mainly Gospel, classical and jazz.

It was inevitable that I would sing in the church choir and by age 14 was directing the young adult choir. Started my own quartet at age 15 and excelled in acapella barbershop type music arranging many of the songs we sang.

While continuing to direct the choir, I never really pursued my own singing career as my joy came from teaching and directing although I led quite a few songs. I began writing songs for the choir and I cringe as I think about some of those songs I had them singinglol However it was training ground for me and my church was the guinea pig.lol thanks Magazine St. S.D.A. Church!

While directing the church choir and youth choir, God placed on my heart to form a praise and worship group that would only sing scriptures set to music and songs of praise mostly direct praise to God on a personal level. He gave me the name Word-n-Praise which was fitting for our ministry as well as how we live.

It was while singing and ministering with this group that I began to think more in terms of my own ministry and God opened the door and I am presently walking in His favor. I am finished with my freshman project and it features Word-n-Praise and my Church choir as well as other family members and friends. I produced and co-produced all of the tracks on the project and wrote 80 % of the songs. I am an ordained Elder and a teacher of the Bible with preaching overtones. God has richly blessed me and I am married to the most wonderful woman in the world, my heart, LaTonya. We have 3 beautiful girls.

Coming from a background of sexual abuse drug addiction and divorce, I want to help others find freedom through Jesus.

My goal is to spread the love of Jesus Christ and prepare people to be ready when He

comes.
