Wies started writing songs from an early age and her first inking's were quickly discovered by enthusiastic crowds and journalists. Her debut album 'Delivery In A Fortnight' was released in March 2008 by Foreign Media Music and received very good reviews in magazines and newspapers such as Oor, Revolver, Platomania, Heaven, AD. After having toured Holland and having supported Beth Hart, Kane and Direct, the second album is to be highly anticipated.
She is a talented singer/songwriter, who was influenced by modern artists, such as Lucinda Williams, K's Choice, Sheryl Crow and Bonnie Raitt, as well as by great singer/songwriters from the 60's and 70's, such as Neil Young, Linda Ronstadt, Bob Dylan and The Beatles Growing up in a musical family in Breda, she experienced the sheer power and beauty of artists such as Ray Charles and Ella Fitzgerald.
In 2010 Wies chose AT Publishing as her partner in music. Next to writing songs for other artists, she also started writing for that 2nd album. Big influences were her new found love for the ukulele, acoustic settings and unconventional recordings. This new direction that Wies' was taking musically asked for a different approach and therefor a new name and new musicians.
In 2011 the project was given the name 'Delouise' and soon after that the concept for the 2nd album 'Waterworlds' was a fact. Producer Ingmar Spaaij was asked to join the project and at this very moment the album is in the making and will be released early 2013.
