AGGRESSOR

In the summer of '05 Albert Leal, Izzy Coronel and original drummer Gilbert Raya set out to be the first Thrash Metal band Corpus Christi had seen in a very longtime. The band started out covering mostly Anthrax and S.O.D. songs until they started writing original songs. A few weeks after forming the band started looking for bassist and a singer, after trying out a few bass players, the band settled with close friend Chris Trevino, and unable to find a singer Albert decided to be lead vocals. By February of '06 the band started playing shows around Corpus Christi and was cosidered "Too Punk" for the Metalheads and "Too Metal" for the Punks. In April Aggressor recorded a live 5-track rehearsal tape, 4 of those songs are still played live til this day. Around late June the band decided to take a break which eneded-up lasting 6 months. During those 6 months Chris Trevino left due to personal reasons and Izzy took his spot as bassist and Jake Salas joinded as lead guitarist. The band started playing more shows and played their first out-of-town show in Alice on December 22, '06. In April the band recorded their 2nd 5-song demo "Choke On It!" By June of '07 the band were already well known througout Corpus Christi and most of South Texas and figured it was time for a change and decided to replace Gilbert Raya with Micheal Melendez who was previously in a band with Jake prior to him joining Aggressor. More fans and more shows came with the arrival of Micheal, incuding their first show in Houston opening for Merciless Death and Hammerwhore, and San Antonio opening for Insecticide. 3 weeks after Micheal joined, the band entered the studio once again to record the new song "Chemically Possessed" In November of '07 Micheal decided to leave the band, unable to find another drummer that can come even close to him as far as drumming, Aggressor decided to disband, but little did they know that it was never over to begin with. In a matter of months the band got back together and started rehearsing for the upcoming summer shows. Soon after the summer ended Micheal decided to once again leave Aggressor, and along with Jake departing, Aggressor is currently on hold. Just like the way it started out 3 years ago, it's just Albert and Izzy. But like Saxon would say "and The Band Played On" and so will Aggressor. 'Til then. CHOKE ON IT!!!
