Wendy Wonder bio:
---------------------------------------------------------------------

The Danish-Kenyan singer Wendy Wonder has established herself as an exciting and outstanding recording and live artist on the reggae scene in Denmark. Wendy is an intriguing and felt singer who seems to be a born performer on stage. Her voice is bright and clear and has a melancholic touch which seems to fit with her songs about hopes, beliefs for a better world, injustice, non-violence as well as dreams and love.

During her career, Wendy has performed extensively in several parts of the world as a soloist with various backing bands like Roots Harmonics, Reggaelution and Raggapack. In late 2006, she had a hit with the duet 'Lever for dig' (Art People) together with the Danish R&B artist Alex. She also did the lead singing for the electro dub act B&B International (DK), who received considerable attention in the US in 2007 with the EP Not Touching The Ground (Morena Records).

Wendy entered the Copenhagen reggae scene around 2005, and since then she has collaborated with producers like Pharfar, Food Palace, Alec Burton, Sky Juice and One People Production as well as sound systems like Universal Sound, Roots Man Hi-Fi, Unity Hi-Fi and DJ Hydepark. Moreover, she has performed at various outstanding festivals like Skanderborg Festival, Raggapack Reggae Festival and German Splash Festival.

Since Wendy is an adventurous person, she has taken the time to travel around the world with her voice and her backtracked songs as her only luggage. Back in spring 2007 in New York, Wendy hooked up with legendary Dj Bobby Kondors and former singer Keeling which made her airplay debut at Keeling's radio show. In the summer of 2007, she went to Jamaica to catch the vibe and expand her network, hooking up with the infamous Jamaican producer Bulby, amongst others, and did a successful live performance at Kingston's 1 Night Club Asylum in front of an all-Jamaican crowd. In the first months of 2008, she found herself on Zanzibar, Tanzania, performing more than ten times, as well as being play-listed and interviewed on national reggae radio.
During the winter of 2008 Wendy was picked out to participate in the "World Music Festival 2009" wich lead to more releases.
Wendy has through her career recorded lead vocals on 15 publications under the names: Wendy Rolle, Wyndia, and lately Wendy Wonder.
Her latest release is "Wake Up" on the album Alis Riddim by Pharfar (18th May 2010) and the next coming release is "Lullaby" as a single release the 19th of July with RA:SKL (EIGHT:FX, uk)
In addition to this she has featured as backing singer on a various Danish and international publications. Her latest feature was on Zacharri's single "Rise My People" 2009.
