KiLL ThE SouND

Dez aka Kill The Sound, is a 23yr old singer/song writer, rapper and producer, who provides a fresh, catchy blend of hip hop, pop, electro and rock. Growing up in West Los Angeles, CA, Dez got his first taste of music in elementary school playing the trumpet. Later teaching himself how to play the guitar and bass, Dez started an indie rock/punk band called Kill The Sound. During this time of creative discovery, he also began dipping his feet in Hip Hop, free-styling with friends and making beats with a 8-track recorder.
In 2001, Dez was kicked out of Palisades High School and enrolled in college early at the age of 16. Struggling to record demos, work and go to school, Dez eventually dropped out of college to devote all of his time to music. Fusing hip hop, pop and rock, Dez worked on a new sound and hit the streets to promote.
Dez became friends with a group of rap artists on the Venice Boardwalk as they showed him the ropes to selling CDs. After hustling his demos in Venice during the day and Hollywood at night, one of them fell into the hands of Shifty from Crazytown. Since then Dez has done work with Crazytown, Orgy and Too Short, just to name a few. With a ‘no sleep’ work ethic the sky is the limit for this young talent who offers a fresh new noise.
