WarteX

WarteX was originally started by brothers Morten and Marius in 2004, because they needed somewhere to channel all their aggression and heavy metal musicality. Fueled by their interrest in good music in general, hard rock and metal in particular, they decided to form a band

They got in touch with bassplayer Stian and drummer Yngve wich formed the first lineup - then called "Firestorm". The band did a couple of well-received gigs in Norway under that name, but came aware of the fact that there were other bands with the same name - so they changed it to WarteX. Not wanting to call the band Vortex, they gave the name a spin to a more aggressive side



In early 2006 the band started concentrating on doing gigs and getting ready for recording some of the material they had produced. A bucketload of gigs were done in 2006, and WarteX found the time to go into the studio and record their first demo-ep entitled "Drink, fuck, drive"



With their first ep "Drink, fuck, drive" recorded and sent out to various labels, fanzines and such, the fall was used to do more gigs. The ep got great reviews, and this pushed the band to write new tunes that displayed other sides of their "Thrash rock". They entered the studio less than a year later, and recorded six brand new tunes, and these are now being sent out to labels and other interested parties

The new tunes are more aggressive, better written and arranged and the sound is crushing!
