Skip James – Vintage Blues from the Delta
Skip James was born in the Mississippi delta. With his unique picking technique and style, he inspired generations of blues musicians and numerous pop & rock artists such as Robert Johnson, Eric Clapton, Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker – his song “I’m so Glad” was part of British group Cream’s repertoire. One third of the Wim Wenders and Martin Scorsese film “The soul of a man” is devoted to Skip James.
