The casting show…



In 2004 Vanessa Henning, aka V-NESS, was a participant in the german casting show TV TOTAL. She made it to the finals and won a recording contract.



In April 2006 the single "SHE BOP" from her album "ELECTRIC PUNK" was released, and a 60-city festival tour was launched across germany, plus several support shows with well known german acts including “BAP” and “Die Happy”.



Challenging Times



In 2007 she began work on her follow-up album. After being given much advice from the industry to follow the current popular music trends, she recorded a complete german language album.

Unfortunately this resulted in half-baked songs that lacked the true identity and excitement of V-NESS, and was greeted by luke-warm reviews from the fans and the media. This was a confirmation that V-NESS must be musically true to who V-NESS really is.

So onward and upward.



The New V-NESS Takes Charge



Taking great songwriting with killer melodies and hooks, and blending it with hard hitting dance beats, blazing guitars, crazy fresh production, and of course Vanessa's amazing vocals, V-NESS has an awesome new sound that will sleigh the masses.

Teaming up with renowned swedish hit songwriters David Clewett, Marten Tromm and Per Eklund (Britney Spears) and producer Bassel El Hallak from Berlin, as well as Los Angeles based mixer Paul Lani (Robbie Williams, Megadeth), V-NESS is now ready to soar to the top.

With their amazing live band rehearsed and ready to take the stage, the new live show is a thrill to experience.

Ist das nicht die aus dem TV TOTAL Casting?



Richtig! Das war 2004, die erste Staffel des von Stefan Raab ins Leben gerufenen Contests SSDSGPS, der Vanessa Henning, aka. V-NESS aus dem Stand einen hervorragenden Finalplatz sowie einen Plattenvertrag bescherte.



Es folgten (im April 2006) die englischsprachige Single

SHE BOP und das dazugehörige Album ELECTRIC PUNK sowie im Anschluss eine erfolgreiche und 60 Konzerte umfassende Festival- und Club-Tour (u.a. mit Die Happy, BAP, NENA u.v.m.).



Schwierige Zeiten



Anfang 2007 starten die Arbeiten zum Nachfolgealbum. Man beugt sich dem allgegenwärtigen Trend und spielt ein komplett „deutschsprachiges“ Album ein. Resultat: Halbgare Songs, die die Identifikation und Emotionen der Künstlerin V-NESS bei Weitem vermissen lassen. Die Songs ernten mittelmäßige Kritiken und werden auch nur lustlos promotet. Tiefpunkt.



ALLES NEU!!!



Ende 2008 dann der nötige Kick! Ein Produzent macht V-NESS ordentlich Feuer unterm Hintern und plötzlich ist alles ganz einfach. Ein neuer Sound entsteht – Discorock mit fetten Beats und verzerrten Gitarren. Frische (englischsprachige!) Songs werden geschrieben und aufgenommen. Unter anderem steuern die renommierten schwedischen Songwriter David Clewett, Per Eklund und Marten Tromm auch ein paar Tracks bei.

Mit jeder Menge Ideen und Optimismus, neuem Management, sowie einer extrem überzeugenden und bestechenden neuen live Besetzung wird zum Rundumschlag ausgeholt. V-NESS startet durch, jetzt erst recht. Selbstbewusst, glamourös, sexy, virtuos, eigenständig und vor allem eines: heiß!!!



Heiß auf die Bühne, heiß auf’s Publikum, heiß darauf die neuen Songs zu präsentieren.
