humano ERROR (hE) is now Vliot

San Juan, PR - June 7, 2008 -

humano ERROR (hE) announced today that it has officially changed its name to Vliot. The band's members will continue to be the same though: Fabián Vélez, Eduardo Martínez and Alejandro Laboy. The new name was chosen among several that the band had been considering for several months. Vliot is a word with no meaning.



"Our name has evolved as much as our sound. Although we liked the name "humano ERROR", we were never in love with it. We also wanted a fresh start with our new album. I really like our new name. There's a nice ring to it. We like the fact that Vliot doesn't mean anything. It will acquire meaning as we move along. To us and our fans. What's in a name anyway?" said Fabián Vélez to a crowd of cheerful media whores.



Vliot is now recording their second full length studio album. This release will be distributed in an unconventional way not yet decided upon.

Vliot is a music & sound art band from Puerto Rico whose music defies easy categorization but has elements that resemble Rock, Jazz and Electronica. More specifically, Post Rock, Nu-Jazz and Ambient Electronica. The band's musical output can be compared to acts like Tortoise, Autechre and Stereolab.

The band consists of Fabian W. Velez on the keys, Alejandro Laboy plays the upright bass and Eduardo Ortiz bangs the Gtr. They are currently recording a new album and promoting their latest: The Human In Search For Silence
