VLAD IN TEARS
When Chris Vlad (lead vocals & piano) decided to form a band in 2005, he did not have to venture far from the idyllic Italian village he lived in to find musicians who would join him. He simply recruited his brothers Lex (guitar) and Dario (bass) and their best friend Alex (drums). They unanimously agreed to name the band Vlad In Tears because it had a ring to it that would immediately indicate the style in which the band was playing.
Instantly they began looking for opportunities to play in front of live audiences, covering songs by other artists at first, but soon coming up with their own material and looking for a label to promote their original compositions. After a tour of 34 concerts in Italy, Austria, Switzerland and Ex-Yugoslavia they recorded their first demo tape "After The End". This demo tape consisting of10 songs was never really meant to be released – it was only meant to give the European fans something they could take home after watching a Vlad In Tears -Show.
They certainly underestimated the effect this surprising demo tape would have. Soon the press got a hold of the demo. What followed were reviews and interviews and a buzz that announced the "most amazing Italian Gothic Act". Before long, labels started to become interested in Vlad In Tears. Eventually, the band signed with "Aural Music" where they released their first official record named "Seed of an Ancient Pain", which gained the reputation of "Best Gothic Indie release of 2007". 

After months of promotion they had reached enough listeners to start their first world tour and again, there was much attention from the press: "In this tour, Vlad In Tears are reaching the deepest side of what touring means" (Rock Hard, n° 43), "Even though there are no great agencies behind them, on this tour Vlad In Tears are teaching the greatest bands how to play for the love of music" (Insomnia Magazine), "Vlad In Tears have come from Italy to help us understand the significance of the Gothic world" (Unscene Magazine), "Seeing Vlad In Tears live makes me feel like I'm dreaming, I've listened to their albums thousands of times, but only now do I know that I will love them forever" (Spider's Web), "Even if we are not used to have Italian bands touring here, they showed us that Italy can be a great country for musical inspiration. They bring with them a strange strength, and now I love them - I love Italy" (Gothic Vogue)… 

The positive feedback Vlad In Tears was getting, led to more sold out gigs all over the world, especially in the UK and South America. In 2010 the band released their second album „Underskin" wich charted with the songs „ You'll burn my dream" and „ You'll come back to me".
2012 their third album "Welcome to Vladyland" once more demonstrates the versatility and musical depth of ViT and is headed to become their biggest success in the charts, yet.
2012 Lex left the band. Antonio Tari, another good friend of Chris, replaced him.
VLAD IN TEARS decided to rearrange their sound into more heavy, dark, authentic and powerfull directions and November 2012 the band will release a 3 track E.P. named NIGHT IN VLADYLAND. A new album with the working title „Damnation" can be expected spring 2013 and the band will be under contract with ZYX / Golden Core
