"Il a fallu peu de temps aux Victorians pour se faire un nom. JB, Alex, William et Ricardo ne viennent pas de nulle part quand le groupe monte pour la première fois sur scène en février 2006. Anciens membres de Cliché et collaborateurs amicaux des Parisians, ils rendaient manifeste la naissance des Victorians en diffusant alors leurs deux premiers titres “Somehow“ et “Life In The City“. Grâce au bouche à oreille, le groupe s'impose en six mois en enchaînant les concerts (Batofar, Triptyque, Flèche d’Or, Point Éphémère ou Maroquinerie), dans les soirées les mieux fréquentées (Loaded, One Shot, Youth Riot Act, Rock’n Roll Friday). Un public de connaisseurs se consolide au gré de concerts aux côtés de Brooklyn, Stuck In The Sound, Sourya, Neïmo. Un simple mail de sollicitation suffit pour convaincre Alan McGee (créateur du label Creation et découvreur d’Oasis) d’inviter le groupe à jouer à l’une de ces fameuses soirées “The Queen Is Dead“ à Londres en juin 2006. À l’automne, les nouveaux morceaux s’enchaînent : “Just A Chance“, “Stop The Claps“, “Act Of Violence“ ou “Ten Days“. Un nouveau passage en Angleterre s’impose, ce sera Liverpool, en janvier 2007, pour un concert surchauffé sur l’invitation des gloires locales The Wombats, aux côtés des amis Brooklyn et d’I Was A Cub Scout. À leur retour, on parle d’eux comme un des fers de lance de la scène parisienne dans le Sunday Times de Londres comme dans le magazine Nylon de New York. C’est en juillet 2007 qu’ils sortent leur premier EP réalisé par Raphaël Ankierman (Nelson, eLdIA, Syd Matters). De nouvelles dates en France ainsi qu'en Grande Bretagne vont être annoncées pour l'automne 2007“

"It had need few time for The Victorians to become a major trademark within the Parisian Scene. JB, Alex, William and Ricardo didn’t come from nowhere when they went on stage for the first time under this name in february 2006. Former members of the band Cliché, they performed in The Parisians for some gigs. The birth of The Victorians was declared by the launch on MySpace of their two first songs : “Somehow“ and “Life In The City“. Quickly, the band reaches some good bills in the best Parisian venues (Batofar, Triptyque, Flèche d’Or, Point Éphémère, Maroquinerie), and in the best nights (Loaded, One Shot, Youth Riot Act, Rock’n Roll Friday). They gather a faithfull audience in playing with bands such as Brooklyn, Stuck In The Sound, Sourya, Neïmo. Un single e-mail conviced Alan McGee to invite them to play at one of his “The Queen Is Dead“ gig at Borderline, London (june 2006). In autumn 2006, new songs appeared on MySpace : “Just A Chance“, “Stop The Claps“, “Act Of Violence“ ou “Ten Days“. A new journey in England happened due to the request of the Wombats. They played Liverpool Carling Academy 2 in January 2007 with Brooklyn and I Was A Cub Scout. When they came home, they were considered as one of the major bands of the Parisian Rock Scene in articles on “Sunday Times“ (UK) and “Nylon Magazine“ (USA). In july 2007 they're about to release their first EP produced by Raphaël Ankierman (Nelson, eLdIA, Syd Matters). The Victorians will be on tour in France and in the UK in the automn 2007.
